Inside Out wTnS Live is a new monthly series set to take place at the City Winery Atlanta and will feature nationally touring artists to be interviewed and take part in the music of the night. We'll have music related charites involved in which we'll be raising funds for via fun and exciting pay to play games and a live auction. The house band will be made up of local nationally touring Atlanta musicians. In addition to having the artist be our featured interview for the night they'll sit in with the house band for a portion of the set.

To better give you an example of the night, it will start out with wTnS conducting a live interview with the guest musicians, there will be fundraising activations where people pay to play and have chances to win prizes (Festival Tickets, Concert Tickets, Artist Merch, Restaurant Gift Cards, Memorabilia, etc…). The games will start with Seth's infamous BINGO game (Name That Tune) and include other games like Spin the Wheel Challenges (think late night TV show shenanigans), etc… At the completion of the games we will feature the charity by having a live auction, auctioning off 3 to 5 large items such as signed guitars, drum heads, and other music memorabilia all of which will be announced prior to the event. The night will close with the band performing with the special guests (including the guest artists).

Lockn' Festival VIP Sets

Every year, LOCKN’s Super VIP performances are a culmination of creativity, inspiration, and imaginative collaboration. And this year, it will be no different.

This year, we’re giddy to announce our Super VIP lineup. Friday night, we’ll kick things off with Keller Williams & Friends. On Saturday, we’ll be treated to a very special hour with Phil Lesh and Bob Weir. And on Sunday, Jorma Kaukonen (solo) will take the stage. And the one and only DJ Logic will close things out on Friday and Saturday nights.

Considering that Lesh and Weir have only played together a handful of times over the past few years, we know Saturday will be a heaping helping of musical greatness. Sandwiched between the carefree vibes of Keller Williams and DJ Logic on Friday night, and Sunday’s intimate get down with guitar legend Jorma Kaukonen (Hot Effin’ Tuna!), these exclusive performances can’t be experienced anywhere else.

Don’t miss this! Purchase your Super VIP ticket today. Have a ticket and want to upgrade to VIP or Super VIP? Email CID Entertainment at guestservices@cidentertainment.com or call (888) 805-8930 (10AM – 6PM, 7 days a week). After that, you can just kick back and know that August will be the best weekend of your year.

DJ Logic, Members of Disco Biscuits, Break Science, & New Mastersounds To Play Post-Phish Dick’s

via Live For Live Music

Fans everywhere are still reeling after the massive undertaking that was Phish‘s 13-night Baker’s Dozen residency at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. Throughout run’s 2 plus-week span, a smorgasbord of late-night shows all over NYC kept the party going after each Phish performance into the early hours of the morning. With all eyes on the Vermont quartet’s upcoming Colorado run at Dick’s Sporting Goods, the question begs to be asked: Where are the late-nights at?

Denver’s Knew Conscious Collective has just announced that on Friday, September 1st, following the first night of the Dick’s run,  it will host a Phish after-party billed as DJ Logic + Phriends. Turntable specialist and producer DJ Logic will be joined by bassist Marc Brownstein (The Disco Biscuits / Breaking Biscuits), guitarist Eddie Roberts (The New Mastersounds), and keyboardist/programmer Borahm Lee (Break Science / Breaking Biscuits) for a special set stretching through the night and into Saturday morning. What this collection of musical masterminds has planned is anybody’s guess, but you can be sure that the night will be full of funky, dance-driven rhythm and beats.

The DJ Logic + Phriends Phish after party is a members-only event, so you will need to be a member of Knew Conscious Collective to enter. However, Knew Conscious will be signing up new members at the door, so no need to sweat it if you’re not a member yet. To pre-register for a membership, sign-up online here or send an email to info@knewconscious.com and put “MEMBERSHIP” in the subject line. Admission to the show requires attendees to register as a member and give a $25 donation to the Knew Conscious Gallery. Once inside, new Conscious features a complimentary open bar with beverages and refreshments from the time doors open at 11:45 pm until the show ends at 4:30 am. This is a 21+ ONLY event.

Billboard's Best Moments From the 2017 Newport Jazz Festival

Turntablism in jazz was well represented at this year’s festival -- not only was DJ Logic on the bill two times, but the Roots brought their own big band hip-hop into the mix as well. Logic’s band, though stunted by an unfortunate late arrival, quickly fell into a deep groove thanks to both Logic and drummer Marcus Gilmore. The gradual layering of bass and piano licks created a solid backbone for master soloists Jaleel Shaw (saxophone) and Keyon Harrold (trumpet) -- when the group found a riff they all liked, it was passed around the band in staggered repetitions: a real-time remix.

DJ Logic Brings Project Logic to Newport Jazz Festival

via Go Local Prov

DJ Logic, a DJ with both jazz and hip-hop roots, will play with a group of musicians in a collaborative performance called Project Logic this weekend at the Newport Jazz Festival.
“I’m hoping to blow people’s minds. I’m hoping to have a good show and bring something special to Newport Jazz” Logic says.

Project Logic will feature Vernon Reid who played with the rock band Living Colour, Mono Neon who worked with Prince, Marcus Gilmore, Jaleel Shaw, Keyon Harrold and James Hurt.

Since coming onto the music scene in the early nineties, DJ Logic has fused jazz and hip-hop. He’s collaborated with a wide variety of musicians including Grammy Award winner Christian McBride, John Mayer, Mos Def, Ben Harper and The Roots.

Angels City Jazz Festival

For its 10-year anniversary, the Angel City Jazz Festival presents a special tribute to innovative jazz pianist and composer Thelonious Monk in celebration of his centennial. Monk’s impact on today’s jazz cannot be overstated - virtually every living jazz musician has been deeply influenced by his radically original music. The celebration kicks off with “Thelonious Monk's Afro-Cuban Dream,” adding the clave to Carmen McRae's "Carmen sings Monk,” featuring Dee Dee Bridgewater on vocals,  Brian Lynch on trumpet, Conrad Herwig on trombone, Manuel Valera on piano, Ruben Rodriguez on bass, Richie Flores on conga and Robby Ameen on drums. The final part of the program reimagines Monk DJ style, with performances by DJ Logic, Mark de Clive-Lowe, Deantoni Parks and Steve Lehman slicing and sampling Monk through John Beasley's own MONK'estra records.
